The key to understanding anyone's true motivation or intention, is to simply listen and observe. 

A person will reveal the foundation of his character within the span of a few choices.

This is one of the reasons to cultivate awareness. If I am attentive, he will show me his animal nature right away and from there, the onus is on me to respect this information and treat him accordingly.

For example, I wouldn't sit with my back to a lion, while eating a steak dinner, nor any dinner for that matter, as the lion is a carnivorous predator who would eat me if given the right circumstances.  So it is with people.  Don't ever think that if you see a person treat another person in a certain manner, it won't be your turn at some point.  It isn't personal, its just the way that person views life and responds to whatever is presented to him.  At any given moment, under the right circumstances, you will be prey to him and he will treat you as such.  The key is to know what he is before he knows you are aware of it and make choices with him which reflect the respect you have for yourself and your awareness of his default traits. Then, slowly distance yourself and be on your way.

When we don't trust others, we mistakenly invest in the belief that Humanity is somehow untrustworthy.  This, however, like everything else, begins at home. If you're seeing, and therefore choosing interactions with untrustworthy people, it's actually a reflection of your own lack of trust in yourself.  You don't trust yourself, for whatever reasons, to make choices which reflect your self respect.

SAINT VALENTINE, WTF?

I find it odd how we humans spend so much time chasing an ideal love, ideal job, ideal life, wishing we had better parents, a better home or a better body. We look into the mirror and think if only my nose were different or if I had more hair or if I was taller THEN I might attract the RIGHT person and with this thought we sigh. This thinking has us always looking to the future to make right what we perceive to be wrong. How often I have thought when I get THAT thing fixed or accomplished or completed, THEN I'll be happy and....what? How could I possibly attain happiness after all that, if it isn't within me right now. The love I seek, the acceptance and respect I had longed for in my earlier years...all here, present within me NOW. The only difference between experiencing it now or experiencing it later is the choice to allow my Self to know my Self. All of the love we feel for anyone or anything comes from the love we have for ourselves for we cannot give what we don't have nor can we live in a static picture of some ideal we think will finally bring us to dwell in the love we seek. WE ARE THE LOVE WE SEEK...and since we are all connected, we have numerous opportunities daily to nurture and expand the very nature of our being. Yes, we all deserve to be happy, but we will only know true happiness when WE believe in our own perfection. Now don't freak out and fill my inbox with scathing messages about how narcissistic I am for loving myself and for embracing my own perfection. Believing in one's own perfection is simply being aware of one's Divine Spark and loving one's self is simply a willingness to see your own innocence and allow yourself to be, without judgement or criticism. It is a knowing that I am not my body, or my conditions, or my illness, or my family. It's understanding my worthiness, my power, and my responsibility for the quality of my life thru the choices I make. There needn't be stress or strife if I will just allow myself to be, and as a result I'm able to allow others to be. I AM, YOU ARE, IT IS!  There is nothing to judge or punish or diminish...leave others alone and see yourself for the first time.

To love and laugh freely with those who know and accept that no matter what happens or how things may appear, my intention is always to love and uplift. To be treated with the same love, respect and dignity that I offer to everyone with whom I interact. To emphasize and promote the positive aspects and strengths of one another so each may grow in a productive, loving way toward his or her higher nature, To co-create with those who are optimistic, joyous, appreciative, gracious, grateful and uplifting in nature, whose interests and values overlap with my own so as to be able to mutually enjoy certain things, while always stretching and expanding into new ideas, activities and ways of doing things. To contribute to the positive upward spiral in the Collective Consciousness in a meaningful way, To know that no matter the weather, fair or foul, I am loved without condition for this is the love I offer. 

DON'T WASTE ONE SECOND NOT LOVING WHO YOU ARE! 

There is absolutely NO ONE ELSE like you! Your experiences, how you embrace them, and how you respond to it all is uniquely yours! NO ONE ELSE SEES YOU LIKE YOU DO! Isn't that a kicker!  We spend so much time trying to project who we are by wearing, driving, dating the perfect choice, but what people are really reading from us is the involuntary projection of HOW WE FEEL ABOUT OURSELVES!   So...love yourself, playfully embrace life, and strive to be happy!  Now, how attractive is that?

Since there is no final destination and no ultimate conclusion, then there are no winners and no losers. There is only being and becoming. Life is a process of experimentation and adaptation. Those who can adapt to new situations without attachment to things or ideas of the past will have a pleasant creative journey. Everything in the physical is temporary so enjoy NOW, love fully and overlook the rest.
