I'm not a Christian, nor do I identify with any other organized religion, as the organization of such, is to put Spirituality into a box. A dogma is an attempt to apply a fixed nature to something which is mutable, ever-expanding. To me, looking for guidance from writings based in the Bronze Age is regressive and, at best, causes one's spirituality to stagnate, but each to his own.
However, I do find the symbolism of the RESURRECTION useful. The archetype of the Dark Night of the Soul with it's re-emergence into a renewed, restored state, reflecting the principle of many traditions which tell us we are not our bodies. There is nothing we cannot overcome by remembering that which is within us, reaching for it, realizing it, evolving to live it, then stretching our ability again and so on, in eternal expansion.
We are eternally one with our Source for it cannot be otherwise. Rejoice in the knowledge that the only thing we need salvation from is the idea that we need to be saved from anything. There is no toll or punishment designed to make us worthy of being born. There is nothing one need do or actually can do, to achieve a static paradise, as the nature of existence is a constantly moving stream of evolving consciousness.
