The government sanctioned, socially acceptable violence against
gay men and women in Russia is disturbing from an historical perspective.
However, I find it deeply discouraging and disappointing that there is no
Collective Will to stop it. I find it reprehensible, not because it is happening
to gay men and women and I am a gay man, but instead because it is happening
to human beings and I am a human being.
