La Belle Epoque - Statement of Purpose

The term, La Belle Epoque, for those who don't know, means "Beautiful Era." This exhibition comes at a time for me personally, when I am emerging from a dark and difficult period of my life, into the light of purpose. I feel that everything I've done in my life has been in preparation for what is before me right now. I am happy, focused and energized by the work I am doing, so naturally, when a friend of mine cried out "La Belle Epoque!" upon seeing the title image of the exhibition, it struck a chord within me. In researching the era, I found that many artists flourished by making art accessible to the people. I knew then, this exhibition was aligned with a vibration emanating from me, and needed an outlet from which to say to those who would hear, there are worlds of breathtaking beauty all around us. I decided to capture the ones I see and bring them out into the light for all to enjoy.

Be still and feel the source of your joy from within your being...then do whatever you can to spend as much time as possible doing THAT! Once identified, embraced and committed to, ways will open where there was no way and you will live in alignment with your Source. Creativity will abound on every subject and you will begin to find ways to make even the most mundane task, fun and expansive. You will begin to see around corners and things that were hidden or seemed out of reach, will now be visible and alive in your experience. You don't need more money or the right clothes or anything better or different than you have right now...except maybe a positive attitude and a hopeful outlook. We hold all the power - reach for it and meet the being you came forth to be.

LOVE is the ONLY effective response, EVER! Think what you like of me, but I must do what I am moved to do, for if I LOVE myself, I can never do another harm.
